    Will the Mayor agree that intelligence is essential to every strategy and we don't yet have it? State of the art Geographical Information Systems don't just provide maps. The key word is information. Any database that has a locational facet, e.g. an address, postcode or an enumeration district, can be linked to a detailed and up to date mapping system.     In the Draft Transport Strategy the Mayor indicated the possibility of targeting fare initiatives to promote social inclusion for less well off groups. Given that students 18 and over must pay full fares, this must limit their access to London, and may be a disincentive to remain in education. Would the Mayor therefore consider a targeted fare initiative for students?

    Is the Mayor aware that access for people with physical disabilities to Britain's busiest railway station, Clapham Junction, is by an "evacuation" chair, which must be carried up and down stairs by railway staff, which is inefficient, dangerous and humiliating for the disabled person. This is by no means an isolated example. What measures will the Mayor take to increase access for people with disabilities to public transport? Will the Mayor ask Transport for London to look at possible improvements at Clapham Junction?
