One of my constituents Dr Driver of Denmark Hill has asked me to ask you the following question. Commuters' cars are parked, nose to tail, alongside the pavement at Denmark Hill during the week. This causes difficulties and danger in crossing roads. I am a member of the Ruskin on the Hill Residents' Association and we have many times brought this up with Lambeth Council. The PLA is apparently not accountable to the NAO or audit commission, its members are not subject to any democratic accountability and it has no independent complaints procedure. Do you believe that this is an appropriate way for a public institution to be run in the 21st century? .
