    • Reference: 2004/1830
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2004
The Guardian on 24th November suggested that the 35-hour week negotiated with London Underground station staff `permits all-night services on New Year's Eve and paves the way for later running on Friday and Saturday nights'. What are the consequences for this deal if, for whatever reason, these benefits for customers do not transpire?

    • Reference: 2004/1928
    • Question by: Peter Hulme Cross

  • TfL

    • Reference: 2004/1944
    • Question by: Peter Hulme Cross
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2004
At MQT on 20th October, you said that "you cannot get much beyond what we are expecting people to pay" on Underground fares. TfL's Five Year Plan states that if fares don't rise above inflation, other charges must be raised further to compensate. Does this mean that you plan to raise bus fares further to pay for the Underground, or that you plan to raise the Congestion Charge further, to pay for both?
  • London Underground: Cancellations

    • Reference: 2004/1823

Do you agree with Jay Walder's comment at the Transport Committee meeting on 11th November 2004 that, 'it (TfL's fare structure) is by far the most complicated fare structure that exists anywhere in the world'?

  • TfL Board Meetings

    • Reference: 2004/1826
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2004
Given the large number of meetings of the TfL Board which have taken place in the past year (33 altogether in the last year according to Bob Kiley at the meeting on 1st December 2004), a significant number must take place in private session. Does Nicky Gavron's position as an observer at the Board's meetings also entitle her to attend these private meetings? If so, why can this right not be extended to other Assembly Members?

  • Oyster Card capping

    • Reference: 2004/1828
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2004
Given that it is unlikely that national rail in London will be part of the TfL fare structure by the time Oyster Pre-Pay capping is expected to be activated, what `travelcard- price points do you expect to offer on Oyster Pre-Pay cards given that, unlike magnetic tickets, Oyster Pre-Pay will still not be valid on national rail journeys in London?
  • London Underground: Pay Deals

    • Reference: 2004/1829
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 15 December 2004
Could the Mayor explain how much the latest pay and conditions deal struck with the RMT is going to cost London Underground? What would the impact be if the same pay and conditions are extended to Aslef? What in the London Underground budget is going to have to be sacrificed in order to pay for this?
