The Mayor's Report Planning Decisions you state; "I have sent letters in response to the following statutory referrals: Fairfield Road, land adjacent to Croydon Park Hotel, LB Croydon I have written to Hounslow Council stating that I have decided not to direct refusal of this application." Do you really believe Hounslow Council will have an interest in this development? If not, what's the real response made to Croydon Council?

Further to the answer you gave to question 2195 / 2005 how much money has so far been raised for Mothers Against Guns and the Princes Trust by 'Why'? Can you break this down the total turnover into: revenue from screening the video, revenue for radio airplay and revenue from EP sales?

What are the practical implications of the clean venue requirements on 'The O2' as previously mentioned in Mayoral Question 2198 / 2005? Specifically can you confirm that the venue will not have to adopt a temporary name during the 2012 Games? Was this matter discussed when you met Philip Anschutz on 2nd November 2005?

You may recall my earlier question (14 September MQT) regarding the noise and disturbance caused to local residents by the announcement system at Earl's Court Station. Following a meeting between myself, the GLA Head of Transport, a representative of local residents, London Underground, Environmental Health Officers and a local Councillor, it was understood and agreed that the Station Manager would instruct staff that announcements were to be strictly monitored and only those relating to Health and Safety issues were to be relayed over the PA system outside the hours of 9pm and 7.30am. What is the legal position as regards the liability of staff of diplomatic missions in London to pay the Congestion Charge, in light of the long established principle that embassies, diplomats and their property are immune from taxes? They do of course pay tax on the purchase of goods and services however. Could the Mayor expand on whether he considers the congestion charge to be a tax or a charge for a service?

I have been in correspondence with Transport for London for some months now concerning the noise and vibration caused by Volvo buses using Chepstow Road, W2. Transport for London has assured me that the faults on the exhausts of these buses have been eradicated, and that they are in discussion with Volvo to ensure that the problem does not reoccur in the future.
