    Could the Mayor comment on the practicality of Londoners being able to renew their Freedom Passes once every 4 years rather than the present 2 year limit? It has been suggested that such a move could potentially save costs on administration, distribution and hiring of buildings.

    You may recall my earlier question (14 September MQT) regarding the noise and disturbance caused to local residents by the announcement system at Earl's Court Station. Following a meeting between myself, the GLA Head of Transport, a representative of local residents, London Underground, Environmental Health Officers and a local Councillor, it was understood and agreed that the Station Manager would instruct staff that announcements were to be strictly monitored and only those relating to Health and Safety issues were to be relayed over the PA system outside the hours of 9pm and 7.30am.     I understand that the Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust is in the process of writing to Mayor Livingstone to invite him to the Princess Royal University Hospital to see for himself how the lack of adequate access by public transport is impacting on patient care.
