    How do you defend a situation where your Public Carriage Office (quite rightly) requires black cab operators to comply with new emission regulations, but imposes its cab specifications in such a way that operators can only buy vehicles manufactured by LTI? Is it acceptable that LTI should be increasing their profits on the back of the monopoly you have fostered, and when are other manufacturers going to be allowed to compete?

    Could the Mayor comment on the practicality of Londoners being able to renew their Freedom Passes once every 4 years rather than the present 2 year limit? It has been suggested that such a move could potentially save costs on administration, distribution and hiring of buildings.
