    • Reference: 2005/2310
    • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
    • Meeting date: 14 December 2005
A constituent has complained to me about the P13 and 201 buses. She regularly tries to use these buses, alighting at the West Dulwich stop travelling towards Streatham, at about 3.45/4pm Monday - Friday. Her average wait, with a small child, is 30 minutes. Often it is longer and on occasion, after a 30 - 40 minute wait, they are unable to get on the bus because it's full. This route serves 3 primary schools and two secondary schools, further along the route is another primary school. Why was the service recently cut (the P13 used to be every 15...

  • Clapham Park Estate

    • Reference: 2005/2309
    • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
    • Meeting date: 14 December 2005
I can see from your initial comments on the Clapham Park regeneration outline planning application that you and your planning advisers are very positive about the planning and design of the proposed redevelopment of the estate. However I am confused as to why - against the advice of Tell, Lambeth Council are apparently insisting on fundamental redesigning at this late stage to impose a two wide straight roads through the estate, creating a large cross roads in the middle? Do you agree that this is very old style planning thinking, which will cause car traffic problems, a danger of speeding...
  • Permitted Developments

    • Reference: 2005/2316
    • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
    • Meeting date: 14 December 2005
Do you think that the existence of Permitted Development Regulations which have allowed Southern Railways to build a large industrial scale development overlooking the houses on Sternhold Avenue without any planning application process or environmental impact assessment, are consistent with the Mayors ability to enforce the London Plan? Should these regulations, which are abused by Southern Railways, be removed, forcing large-scale developments to apply through the normal planning application process?

  • Octavia Hill Properties

    • Reference: 2005/2100
    • Question by: Valerie Shawcross
    • Meeting date: 16 November 2005
The Church Commissioners are planning a further round of 'sell-offs' of Octavia Hill social properties in Waterloo (Ufford St, Mitre Road and Webber St) along with the Winchester Park Estate, Walworth and Vauxhall estates. Will you join local MPs and myself in opposing these sell-offs and lobbying the Church Commissioners to ensure if they do go ahead with sales that they sell only to a registered social landlord and that the rights of tenants are fully protected?
