Will he consider promoting: improved facilities on TRLN in and around the zone, cycle lanes on the new Bishop's Bridge (one of the few crossings of the railway line), closing missing links in cycle routes across Hyde Park and Holland Park, and cycle...

    • Question by: Jenny Jones
    • Meeting date: 14 December 2005
Cycle campaigners have complained that the consultation proposals for pilot Bus Route 38 WRIP largely ignore cycling. The proposals even include the removal of many existing cycle facilities and creation of bus only lanes, despite very high existing cycle flows and/or being on the LCN+. Is the Mayor concerned that key recommendations of the TRL review of cycling facilities are not being followed? Does he agree it would be better value and more sensible to plan for bus routes and cycle routes at the same time rather than one after the other? Will he commit to a CRISP for this...
