    The creation of a new bus stop outside Waitrose supermarket on the Finchley Road NW3 has meant that there is now no longer any place for people to drop off elderly or disabled persons wishing to use the supermarket (who incidentally make special arrangements for these shoppers). I have reports that any vehicle that does stop to drop off or collect these elderly or disabled persons almost always instantly receives a ticket for stopping in the bus stop.     Can you confirm if residents of the London Borough of Hackney will be entitled to receive free passes to some Olympic events staged within the Borough?     Could the Mayor comment on the practicality of Londoners being able to renew their Freedom Passes once every 4 years rather than the present 2 year limit? It has been suggested that such a move could potentially save costs on administration, distribution and hiring of buildings.

    You may recall my earlier question (14 September MQT) regarding the noise and disturbance caused to local residents by the announcement system at Earl's Court Station.
