I have been contacted by a resident who lives within the proposed Residents' Discount Zone for the new Congestion Charge area. He does not own a car, but is reliant on his sister who lives outside London for transport as he is elderly and cannot use Public Transport for shopping and any activities which require travelling further than his own immediate area. Has any thought been given to cases such as this, where the immediate members of the family will be penalised financially for giving necessary care and support to those who live within the Congestion Charge area? Why do the new newspaper and poster advertisements for the Western Extension of the Congestion Charge only give nominal information? Will you ensure that these adverts contain full and comprehensive details about all aspects of the new zone, particularly for those without Internet access?

For over 18 months, one of my constituents has been pleading with Transport for London to extend double red lines across the entrance to her property at 3 Edith Grove, to replace the original double yellow lines which were there previously. Her drive is regularly blocked by delivery vans and particularly at weekends by vehicles belonging to football supporters and various other inconsiderate drivers, and she is frequently unable to use her own vehicle for journeys for which she cannot use public transport. The section on river services in the Transport 2025 plan does not provide any detail as to what plans TfL may have to improve river services. May I remind you of the recommendations in my report for the Transport Committee, entitled; `London's Forgotten Highway': 1.
