Since then how many times has the fee for using London's Living Room and other GLA rooms and facilities been waived and for what organisations? How much did these waivers cost in income foregone?     In answer to my question 1499/2006 you stated "It is hoped that Green Park will be step-free in time for the Olympics but unfortunately Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus will not." When do you anticipate that Oxford and Piccadilly Circus will become step free, from street to platform and from street to train? Will Green Park be step free from street to platform or street to train by 2012?

    Is it appropriate to spend £80,000 at this early stage to draft amendments to the GLA Bill on an issue (waste) on which you have no prospect of winning over the government and may well not win a majority in Parliament? Would it not be more appropriate to seek an ally to table a simple short amendment to test support for the proposition?

    As the GLA gives out funding on an ad hoc basis rather than having a 'grants round' how is it ensured that funding given by the GLA goes to a representative group of charities?
