  • Norwood Junction - London Bridge (1)

    • Reference: 2009/3976
    • Question by: Steve O'Connell
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Are you able to advise what the impact will be for Croydon residents travelling to and from London Bridge once Southern trains have altered their services on December 13th in order to take account of the London Overground expansion? How will the reduction in trains to London Bridge during the morning peak benefit commuters overall? What are the implications for Norwood Junction station as a busier interchange?
  • Norwood Junction - London Bridge (2)

    • Reference: 2009/3977
    • Question by: Steve O'Connell
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Have Southern Trains provided a credible reason for removing services towards Norwood Junction from Charing Cross after 19:30 (as part of the South London Rail Utilisation Strategy that links up with London Overground expansion) and starting those services at London Bridge instead, thereby reducing access to and from the West End for Croydon residents during the late evening?

    • Question by: Steve O'Connell

  • Godstone Road Pedestrian Crossing

    • Reference: 2009/4008
    • Question by: Steve O'Connell
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Further to your answer in May to question 1041/2009 that work to build to pedestrian crossings on Godstone Road, please confirm when work will start on this crossing as the original plan was for January 2009, then it became mid-2009, then in this financial year and still no progress has been made in starting or delivering the crossing?
  • Bakerloo Line (1)

    • Reference: 2009/3946
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Vibrations and noise from the Bakerloo line between Maida Vale and Warwick Avenue have been causing my constituents disturbance for the past nine years, and in some cases has prevented them from selling their properties. Can the Mayor assure these residents that TfL will finally rectify the problem?
  • Bakerloo Line (2)

    • Reference: 2009/3947
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Back in June the Mayor reassured me and my constituents that TfL were looking into dealing with the problem of screeching on the Bakerloo line at Paddington Station. This problem has not been rectified and London underground customers are still suffering the intolerable level of screeching form the train lines. Can the Mayor update us as to what TfL are currently doing about the problem?
  • Tube Closures

    • Reference: 2009/3948
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 16 December 2009
Constituents in West London recently complained about the lack of rail replacement buses for the closures on the Jubilee and large parts of the central, Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith and City lines, resulting in nearly 100 people waiting at one bus stop for a rail replacement service. Why, when a majority of the tube lines were closed, were there not enough rail replacement buses in service to provide a satisfactory provision of transport?
