Here at City Hall, there was a most welcome reception for the elderly on Thursday 22nd October 2009. However, some invitees never arrived due to the inefficiencies of Dial-a-Ride. This is a huge embarrassment to the GLA. Can the Mayor please advise what the situation is with regard to Dial-a-Ride?

Has the staging of the 2012 Olympics been a contributing factor in the recent steep rises in Tube and bus fares for Londoners - bearing in mind the requirement to complete various public transport infrastructure projects prior to 20 12?

Will the Mayor condemn the disgraceful violence and disorder perpetrated by the Unite Against Fascism organisation outside the BBC's Broadcasting House following Mr Nick Griffin's lawful invitation onto that evening's Question Time programme? This behaviour resulted in three police officers being injured. Many politicians and public figures are signatories to this UAF organisation. And will the Mayor ask the Commissioner of the MPS to ban such an assembly should the BBC invite Mr Griffin onto the show at some future date?

In light of the Mayor's advice to non-Muslims to fast during Ramadan in order to 'understand Muslims better', would the Mayor urge Muslims to sing carols and eat Christmas pudding at Christmas to understand Christianity?

In light of the Mayor's commendable strategy for protecting women against violence, does the Mayor concur that foreign criminals who commit serious crimes of violence should be deported at the end of their sentences?

In light of the recent report on the demise of various war memorials in London due to new buildings and vandalism etc has the Mayor formulated a strategy for preserving remaining memorials in London in memory of those people whose sacrifices yesterday allow our liberties of today?

Is the Mayor alarmed at the lack of checks of visa applicants for high risk countries? It is reported that very few visa applicants from areas of high risk are interviewed. Bearing in mind the potential security risks to London would the Mayor, in his capacity as Chair of the MPA, press the Border Agency to substantially increase the numbers interviewed?

In light of the recent shootings at music venues in London, does the Mayor believe Londoners' safety has been compromised once again in the interests of minority groups now that the Metropolitan Police have been forced to change form 696 for the second time in a year or does the Mayor agree with this change?

In light of the Prime Minister's decision to downgrade Titan prisons, will the Mayor agree with Barking and Dagenham Council that the proposed prison on Dagenham and Rainham marshes be scrapped in favour of a general hospital which is the preferred option not only of the local council and the local MP, but more importantly the Barking and Dagenham public? The importance of this is further enhanced bearing in mind the massive increase of housing that will take place in the area in accordance with the London Plan and Thames Gateway blueprints?.
