    Could you advise us, Mayor, as Chairman of the Metropolitan Police Authority why the horrific rape and robbery of a woman 7 months pregnant in her home by 3 youths was kept from the public for 18 months, when it is surely imperative that the public should be made aware that a very dangerous gang are on the loose on the streets of London and the public especially in the Finsbury Park/north London area can maintain a heightened vigilance?

    According to the Purchasing Managers Indices (PMI) across all regions, London saw the steepest rate of job cuts in July. The unemployment rate generally is becoming alarming. With this in mind will the Mayor now agree that to give amnesty to illegal immigrants would exacerbate London's growing unemployment problem by potentially bringing thousands more people onto a job market of diminishing opportunities?

    The Government's future energy strategy is patchy at best, and some energy companies (including those that serve London) fear Britain (including London) could face possible power outages as early as 2012. Does the Mayor share the concerns of the energy companies and can he allay the fears of Londoners that this will not be the case?

    The Mayor has very bullish ideas on increasing bicycle usage amongst Londoners. However, bicycle theft in central London has risen 75% in four months as criminals exploit the growing popularity of cycling. Has the Mayor any provision to tackle this, bearing in mind if cyclists can expect their bike's to be stolen on a regular basis cycling popularity will soon be in reverse due to the cost of buying replacement cycles!
