While I am pleased that the Northern line upgrade will deliver faster and more frequent journey times, I do not understand your reasoning for not replacing the current trains with driverless rolling stock. In your answer you mention the Central line as one being considered for driverless technology through new rolling stock, but say the situation does not apply for the Northern line because its fleet of trains are relatively new.
