  • Cost of Camden SNT bases

    • Reference: 2011/0952
    • Question by: Brian Coleman
    • Meeting date: 23 March 2011
According to a recent FOI, the new West Hampstead SNT base cost the taxpayer almost one million pounds, and yet an SNT policeman's role involves spending most of their time out on the beat. These spiralling SNT base costs work out, across Camden, at twenty three thousand pounds per officer. i) Will the Mayor agree to review these extortionate costs? ii) Should officers, instead, be attached to established police stations, in light of the fact that SNT bases are closed to the public?
  • 168 bus

    • Reference: 2011/0721
    • Question by: Brian Coleman
    • Meeting date: 23 February 2011
Presently the 168 bus route stops in the centre of South End Green, Hampstead. There can be up to 3 double decker buses standing at this point during the day. This state of affairs is a problem in terms of quality of life and health and safety for the locality. Will the Mayor instruct TfL to examine the possibility of moving the 168 to the bus stand at Morrison's supermarket at Chalk Farm, where there are two appropriate bus stands that could accommodate the route?
