The Government's and the GLA's data source for child poverty is based on administrative data rather than survey data. This only offers a snap-shot of children and their families in receipt of benefits at a particular point in time and does not offer a full picture of children in low-income households. Will the Mayor consider collecting survey data as this is more useful in indicating living standards, and what assessment has the Mayor made on programme by programme basis that relies on this data?
