    I understand that there will be improvements to monitoring and reporting systems that are being put in place across the GLA in regards to apprenticeships. Can you outline whether this will include: a. Monitoring how many apprentices go on to be in full employment one year later? b. Completions for each cohort? c. Recording how long the apprenticeships last for?

    A significant number of apprenticeship starts are going to people over the age of 25. What are you doing to encourage more young people to undertake apprenticeships, specifically those not in education, employment or training?

    In your response to MQ 3498/2012, you state that there was a total of 857 apprenticeship starts in 2011/12, and it does not include the London Fire Brigade. However, a letter from Munira Mirza to the Oversight Committee states that there have been 271 starts in 2011/12, including the London Fire Brigade. Which figures are the correct ones?

    In May 2010 there were 203 academies nationwide, by September 2012 this number reached 2309, given your interest in free schools and academies in London, do you have faith in the Department of Education to administer and manage an increasing number of academies and free schools in London considering the major staffing cuts which are hitting the Department of Education?
