On the London Assembly Environment Committee, we spend a lot of time examining the issue of pollution, but rarely do we discuss noise pollution - an increasing menace in our city. The screaming of sirens of London Ambulance Service vehicles day and night and the slamming of tailgates of lorries making deliveries in the early hours of the morning all have an impact on our well-being.
