On the 14 February 2020, the High Court ruled that the Humberside Police decision to record a non-crime hate incident against Harry Miller for alleged transphobic tweets was unlawful. The Judge, Mr Justice Julian Knowles concluded that Mr Miller’s tweets were: “lawful and that there was not the slightest risk that he would commit a criminal offence by continuing to tweet”.
