    Transport for London is currently undertaking a safety review along the length of the X26 bus route, I would like to draw your attention to the unusual safety issues around the ponds on the A232 in Carshalton. The road is too narrow for two buses to pass; whole sections have little or no pavement; there is a long stretch with no pedestrian crossing which leads to people crossing the road where visibility is poor; and it is a site rich with heritage so any highways engineering must be sensitive.
