    Presently there are more taxis reaching the maximum lowered age limit than there are entering into the trade. Nissan Dynamo production is ceasing. Will you agree to expedite the testing of the EURO 5 TO 6 conversion kit for the TX4 taxi model to the road test stage, and if testing is successful, ensure that it is rolled out with the urgency that is required, to support the Black Taxi trade as well as clean up the Taxi fleet?

    COVID-19 has led to many Londoners changing their patterns of working and commuting. The TfL consultation on bus priority and improvements for people walking along the A41 Finchley Road, Hendon Way to Hilgrove Road closed on 27 March 2020. TfL recently confirmed that it has decided to proceed with the changes. Could you please confirm why you think the findings of the consultation are not outdated and therefore no new consultation is needed?

    Black Taxi drivers are under a lot of pressure. Not in the least, the cost of a new vehicle that is both electric and wheelchair accessible. The current numbers leaving the fleet show that the grant is not enough to convince people to continue in the profession or attract new people. What further actions are you considering to ensure the London Taxi trade continues?

    London Black Taxi drivers’ vehicles were licensed for 15 years and then this was reduced to 12 years. What support is given to taxi drivers who after 12 years have not yet been able to pay off their taxi but whose licence has expired?
