    • Reference: 2023/3631
    • Question by: Keith Prince
    • Meeting date: 12 October 2023
On 7 September, TfL announced a ‘bold new strategy for making buses safer’ which seems to me to essentially be a rebranding of the ‘world leading’ Bus Safety programme TfL announced in February 2016, the Vision Zero programme announced in July 2018 and the ‘world leading’ Bus Safety Standard announced in October 2018. What stood out most about this ‘new’ strategy is a chart on Page 19 which clearly evidences that the number of people killed or seriously injured from a bus safety incident has increased over your time as Mayor and we’re now back to where we were in...

    • Question by: Keith Prince
    • Meeting date: 14 September 2023
In a 24th August MyLondon article headlined “TfL bus boss admits 'far more’ Outer London connections are needed when ULEZ expands”, your Deputy Mayor for Transport Seb Dance was quoted as saying “We need far more connections and options in Outer London… In Outer London, we clearly need to do more, which, of course, is what this administration is doing. The Superloop is a perfect example of that, where town centres are being connected in Outer London.” Do you agree with Seb Dance?
