  • Finborough Road, SW5

    • Reference: 2008/0477
    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
Despite TFL's previous assurance that there is not a problem with speeding around the Finborough/Fulham Roads junction, local councillors are receiving numerous complaints about speeding traffic during off-peak hours, especially cars and motorbikes which pull away from the junction at high speeds. Could TFL help to resolve this by conducting a speed survey at this spot in order to establish the facts once and for all?
  • Shepherds Bush Station closure

    • Reference: 2008/0478
    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
With reference to the Mayor's written answer 247/2008 would he like to revisit the Labouronline web site of Andrew Slaughter where in point 8 of "10 Things TfL aren't telling you about the closure of Shepherds Bush station", he explicitly calls on TfL to do the work at Shepherds Bush while keeping the station open. I quote "They should keep the station open now and look for a way to undertake all the necessary works without closure." Are we missing something here? Is there a way of doing this work while keeping the station open or is Andrew Slaughter heading...
  • Heathrow Airport (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
This argument that we are losing the variety of destinations at Heathrow is partly because the airlines themselves choose to serve more destinations that are long haul.
  • Heathrow Airport (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
Would I not be right in saying that this argument about whether or not there are so many parts of the world being represented in Heathrow is partly because the airlines themselves have been reducing their short-haul slots at Heathrow, particularly because they make more money out of their long-haul slots, and actually what they have been doing is clearing the decks of some of the short haul destinations in order to maximise their long haul slots for financial purposes? Therefore part of what Damian was talking about is based on their own decisions rather than anything to do with...
  • Heathrow Airport (Supplementary) [6]

    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
Indeed, can I say that I think it is a shame and a cynical exercise that BAA has chosen a spokesman in the form of the former MP for Ealing and Acton, a Labour MP, who is surprising a lot of his former constituents with the line he is taking, and dismaying them at the same time.
  • Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [11]

    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
Are you basing your entire idea of a legal challenge on the length of consultation period or would you also be wanting to look at the actual criteria and how they were applied by the Post Office review?
  • Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [13]

    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
I remember that in fact at one stage you were hoping that they would have serviced your Congestion Charge, but that seemed to go awry early on. Is that something you would want to return them to?
  • Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [16]

    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
Basically, you would instruct the whole GLA family to look at this.
  • Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [26]

    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 20 February 2008
It occurs to me that it would be great obviously to extend it to the full 12 weeks particularly because of Easter coming halfway through the six week period. I think a lot of us, having looked at what has been produced, will fear that, as with so many of these consultations, the minds have already been made up and the consultation is just a kind of box-ticking exercise which might mean that after 12 weeks we are back where we are now. So what I want to know, Mr Livingstone, is, were you to be re-elected ' which we...
  • Shepherds Bush Central Line

    • Reference: 2008/0247
    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 30 January 2008
Is local MP Andrew Slaughter correct in saying on his website that it should be possible to carry out all the modernisation and maintenance work at Shepherds Bush on the Central Line without closing the station at all?
