    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 17 October 2007
You have made that point and I recognise it. What I am saying is why did you single out the double-decker bus as being a particularly dangerous vehicle in the event of a fire? • Mayor's Report (Supplementary) [21]

Can I ask you one other question. Your figures for fatalities go back to 1994, you said, and you have also made the point in introducing those figures about the various campaigns that may be taken on by your political opponents. You were a great champion of the Routemaster right up to and including your first mayoral election campaign. Given that you would have known about those figures from 1994, why were you still...

A GfK NOP poll about customers' journeys on London Underground, conducted at Bethnal Green Underground Station on 28 August 2007, asked a number of questions regarding station announcements and driver announcements, but failed to address the issue of Digital Voice Announcements. Is this a deliberate omission, bearing in mind that a recent Time Out reader poll showed that 70% of their readers would like the loud, garbled tube announcements on the trains themselves to be silenced?

  • Elgin Crescent/Kensington Park Road

    • Reference: 2007/2407
    • Question by: Angie Bray
    • Meeting date: 17 October 2007
In your response to question 2077 at MQT on 12 September you stated that only previously unserved roads are tested to ensure buses can be run safely and efficiently along residential streets. Does the Mayor consider it acceptable that no tests are carried out when the number and frequency of existing buses are significantly increased or additional bus routes are added to a residential street already served by other routes?
