    I was heartened to hear some of the things you said about Crossrail, but I think we will agree that to persuade the Treasury to be more flexible than it has hitherto been in relation to borrowing, something has to give. Can you give me an assurance that if it is an issue between the tram or Crossrail, unequivocally Crossrail would take the priority?

    The current works on the Blackwall Tunnel were due to complete in March this year, this was then delayed a month at a time and now we are informed that they will be completed in December. Please can the Mayor explain what is causing the delays? What penalties are being applied to the contractors? What action is TfL taking about this, and what is their appraisal of the disastrous mess they have overseen, now? How many of TfL's major contracts are over schedule/budget?
