    Will the Mayor congratulate Bob Neill MP, former Conservative Leader on the London Assembly, former Havering Councillor and GLC member and former Leader of the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority, on his appointment as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Communities and Local Government and note his particular briefs of Fire, Thames Gateway and Olympics? Does the Mayor not think it is a refreshing change to have a Minister with relevant knowledge and expertise?

    Mr Mayor, when taking over the Royal Parks Agency will you ask your officers to look at the way that the City Corporation runs its open spaces - Hampstead Heath, Epping Forest and other places - and the collaborative manner in which it runs them, with genuine representation from community groups and elected representatives involved in the management of the parks? Secondly, will you ensure that events that are held in the Royal Parks continue to enjoy community support?     Mr Mayor, will you accept that among the lies spread by the Labour Party in the election was that Sure Start was going to be cut and that we have just heard that again this morning from Mr Biggs? I think you overlooked challenging him on that. As you know, Sure Start remains a central policy plank of this Coalition Government.

    Sections of the A1 and A41 consistently flood following heavy rainfall, especially in the Hendon area, leading to road closures and inconvenience for my constituents. Will the Mayor instruct TfL to investigate why this is the case and how drainage can be improved?
