I was interested in what you were saying earlier on about the need for a strong voice for regional government. You talked about enemies of London and how you were always pressing the case for London. I wanted to see your reaction to what your reaction was to what you Deputy recently said in the Manchester Evening News on 11 June " which seems quite an interesting date. `I am opposed to a London Olympic Bid for 2012. But I do not think that is quite going to work is it? You are the voice for Londoners and you have appointed a Deputy also to have a voice for Londoners. If one person is saying one thing and the other person is saying something else, how is this bid going to get the partnership work that it needs, the strong voice for London? I do not understand how you will achieve that.
