  • LFEPA Cuts and the Safety of Londoners (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 02 December 2015
Richard Tracey AM: First of all, Commissioner, you have dealt to some extent with this question of ward-level response, but can I ask you a straight question? Is it actually practical to talk about ward-level calculations? Is that really a practical point in the nature of firefighting or do you have to look over a wider area than simply a ward of - whatever it is - 10,000 people?
  • LFEPA Cuts and the Safety of Londoners (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: James Cleverly
    • Meeting date: 02 December 2015
James Cleverly AM MP: I am happy for either the Commissioner or the Chairman to answer this. When the traditional disposition of London’s fire stations was brought about, I suppose, with the early 20th century expansion, is it fair to say that fire and fire risk was the single biggest driving factor in the equipment disposition of fire stations and fire appliances?
  • Dissolution of LFEPA (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 02 December 2015
Richard Tracey AM: Chairman, probably this is one for you as the politician of the two of you. The fact is, surely, that government, particularly local government, has been changing very considerably over recent years. That is accepted. The straight point to you: is it not correct that perhaps LFEPA in its current form is out of date and past its sell‑by date, really?

Can you let me know how many complaints TfL have received over the last two years on the performance of taxi drivers on the following: unnecessary delays to journeys, drivers getting lost, the choice of wrong route to the desired destination?
  • Taxi complaints (2)

    • Reference: 2015/3743
    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2015
Can you let me know how many complaints TfL have received over the last two years on the performance of taxi drivers on the following: the use of inappropriate language, threats of violence (either to the passenger or those outside the vehicle) and general rude behaviour?
  • Bulk buying 'clean' taxis

    • Reference: 2015/3744
    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2015
Could you further elaborate on potential plans to bulk-buy new 'clean' black cabs, which would then be leased back to taxi drivers? The numbers that TfL would look to purchase would be needed, as would the costs associated with the potential purchase.
  • TfL and Motorcycling

    • Reference: 2015/3740
    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2015

  • GLA Energy Supply Licence

    • Reference: 2015/3733
    • Question by: James Cleverly
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2015
How will your plans for the GLA to become a 'Licence Lite' energy supplier help to improve the energy market in London?
  • Young people in London (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2015
Richard Tracey AM: Mr Mayor, as a parent and indeed a grandparent, I am particularly sympathetic to this question. I wonder. Do you think that we are doing enough to promote starter homes for young people? Are we investigating sufficiently pop-up homes, which I understand is one potential solution, or the excellent Wandsworth Council scheme of Hidden Homes? Indeed, are you convinced that enough of the local authorities in London are refurbishing some of their old housing stock in order that it is prepared?
