  • Crown Estate (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 09 June 2010
I wanted to underline that in my constituency, I have the Millbank Estate which is part of the disposal programme. I wanted also to ask you to look very carefully at some of the guarantees that have been given. At the Committee meeting last night it was Andrew Boff who pointed out that the current guarantee on 90% of all new vacancies going for affordable housing will mean that there is a 10% each year diminution in the number of flats that will be available. We managed to extract from Sir Stuart Hampson that meant, over a period of 15...
  • Royal Parks (2) (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 09 June 2010
In respect of parking charges, can I invite you to consider that while Tony Arbour's residents enjoy free parking in the Royal Parks which you are guaranteeing, my residents do not in their local parks and, therefore, my residents are, in effect, subsidising the maintenance of Richmond Park for the pleasure of Tony Arbour. We would welcome the introduction of honesty boxes in the Royal Parks in central London for the relief of the extremely high charges that are levied on my residents for using the parks. I wondered whether you would bear that in mind before you favour the...

  • Challenges and Risks (Supplementary) [6]

    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 10 March 2010
I wanted to explore your not-for-profit status. My assumption, from what you are saying, is that, with the not-for-profit status of the Legacy Company, it is not, therefore, envisaged there will be any return to the shareholders at any point, and that any surplus that may or may not arise would be ploughed back into the Park effectively. You are saying it may be the case that actually it is the reverse; it is not only a not-for-profit company but it might be a, 'We need more money company' and that you might look to the shareholders for more money...
  • Future of Olympic Stadium (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 10 March 2010
It sounds to me like you are saying, in coded language, that the retention of the athletics obligation is a disincentive, effectively, for commercial companies to come forward and use the stadium. Is that right?
  • Land remediation (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 10 March 2010
On remediation, are you aware of any warranty protection that the ODA might have on remediation with the contractors and, if so, will you inherit it? If not, is there a general remediation insurance policy in place for any works that may or may not be needed, and are you going to inherit and therefore keep that one on?
  • Congestion Charge Residents Discount Renewal (1)

    • Reference: 2010/0462

Following the severe delays recently endured by people trying to renew their resident discount for the congestion charge, when will the current operators contract will be up for renewal, and what delay the contractors should expect if they apply for a renewal?

Will IBM be penalised for its failure to respond to congestion charge resident discount applications within a reasonable period? If so, what will the penalty be?
  • Congestion Charge Residents Discount Renewal (3)

    • Reference: 2010/0465
    • Question by: Kit Malthouse

Many people suffered extensive delays and inconvenience receiving their congestion charge resident discount and have been forced to pay the full fare and subsequently claim the money back, will these people be given compensation by IBM? And if so, how much?
