In your Background Statement in support of your Draft Consolidated Budget for 2024-25 you say, “The previous Mayor reduced the police precept in 2016-17 by £6.76 (Band D) rather than increasing it by the 1.99 per cent uplift assumed in the Home Office police settlement which has had the effect of reducing MOPAC’s revenues by approximately £34.5 million in 2024-25 compared to what they would otherwise have been. Users of Harrow on the Hill station who require access to the lift are often left struggling with the stairs, unaware that the station has a lift. When was the last time TfL reviewed the effectiveness of the signage at Harrow on the Hill station?

You say in your consultation budget that, “Historically, more than 80 per cent of funding for the police in London comes from national government and less than 20 per cent from regional government. It was 19 per cent in 2016 when I first came to office. But due to an increase in funding from City Hall and inadequate funding from national government, the percentage of funding from City Hall for the police is now close to a quarter.” What additional funding would Government need to provide to ensure the historical 80/20 split?
