According to the latest CHAIN data, there were 3,444 rough sleepers in the capital between July and September 2020. Of these, new rough sleepers accounted for 55% of all rough sleepers. On 11 January, the hold on section 21 evictions is due to come to an end. On 30 April 2021, the furlough scheme is also due to come to an end and unemployment figures are expected to rise significantly.
