    Dr Alison Moore AM: Thank you very much, Chair. My question is for Niran Mothada. London’s transport system is critical to the functioning of the city, as we all know. How will your Board marry up the impact that COVID-19 is having on transport, both its finances and how Londoners will move about in the future, with individual and business needs so that London remains open?

What are the arrangements made for supporting Londoners with mental health issues arising out of the pandemic and how is it going to be dealt with in the new normality in the capital?

    Murad Qureshi AM: Thank you, Chair. My question on childcare is addressed to Niran Mothada, the Executive Director of Strategy and Communications. Childcare is going to be a huge issue when Londoners return to work and in fact has actually been a huge issue whilst we have been in lockdown, as women have been taking up the bulk of caring duties. How can the Board support parents returning to work either at the office or from home, given that I understand 34% of early years providers are facing closure due to COVID-19, as reported by the Sutton Trust?

We are all aware in this Chamber that the host boroughs of east London are some of the poorest locations in the capital. 70,000 unemployed adults are in the seven east London boroughs that neighbour the Olympic site. I am looking at the foundations of a legacy. How is it possible to truly call this a legacy when, at this moment in time, of the 5,381 employed people on the site, only 20% are from the five hosting boroughs and 48% are non-British? This...

    Can I touch on the sustainability assurance aspects. The Commission for a Sustainable 2012 does not just do the construction and the staging of the Games, it includes legacy, albeit that process is going to come to an end in about 2013. The first question, for the record, is do you welcome that scrutiny and will you cooperate fully with the Commission for a Sustainable 2012 for the legacy aspects?
