    After numerous reports by HMICFRS since 2016 on the Met’s handling of Child Protection, how do you reflect on the latest report that again highlights significant shortcomings in the Met Police on this topic?

    I am pleased to see that more than 1200 child protection officers and 400 officers responsible for missing children investigations have been trained. How are you guaranteeing the quality of their investigations? The issue of quality of investigations was raised by HMICFRS in previous reviews of the Met and continues to be a serious concern in the recent report.

    The Met confirmed it is already implementing training to directly address victim blaming and driving culture change so officers and staff show more compassion and understand the complexities of child exploitation from the outset of cases. How many officers have been trained so far and when do you expect for all officers to have gone through this training? Additionally, how do you monitor the effectiveness of the training provided?
