  • Cycling in Enfield

    • Reference: 2005/2291
    • Question by: Joanne McCartney
    • Meeting date: 14 December 2005
I understand that the LDA is currently consulting on moving the cycling facility in Eastway to Rammy Marsh in Enfield for the Olympics. As part of this proposal the Lea Valley Authority would fund the site during the Games, but will have to withdraw funding afterwards, as it will take charge of a site in the Olympic village. Could you please ensure that if this site is built in Enfield everything possible is done to ensure funding remains for it after the games in order to provide a lasting legacy for the people of Enfield?

  • Bus Route Consultation

    • Reference: 2005/2105
    • Question by: Joanne McCartney
    • Meeting date: 16 November 2005
I have recently had a quite a large number of complaints from constituents and residents associations about inadequate consultation by TfL over proposed variations to a bus route - the No. 29. I understand the changes to route 29 affect a number of other routes and that because of the total number of people affected TfL used a 'representational' consultation targeting stakeholders. Will you please ask TfL to look at this type of consultation and expand its 'width' so that so many resident, business and community groups are not left out of these consultations in the future?
