    In August 2004, TfL's Network Management Group rejected plans to upgrade a crossing on Upper Thames Street. The current staggered crossing (in front of Vintners' Hall) means that pedestrians are often held on the central island between fast moving vehicles for up to 4 minutes. Will TfL reconsider its original decision and upgrade this crossing?

    Cycle campaigners have complained that the consultation proposals for pilot Bus Route 38 WRIP largely ignore cycling. The proposals even include the removal of many existing cycle facilities and creation of bus only lanes, despite very high existing cycle flows and/or being on the LCN+. Is the Mayor concerned that key recommendations of the TRL review of cycling facilities are not being followed? Does he agree it would be better value and more sensible to plan for bus routes and cycle routes at the same time rather than one after the other? Will he commit to a CRISP for this...
