    One of the best ways to tackle fuel poverty is by looking at its root causes with interventions designed to identify the most vulnerable Londoners. There are a range of agencies from social services, housing associations to the LFB and others who interact with those at risk, but there is a lack of data sharing between partners. How can you as the Mayor encourage a more joined up approach that could prevent hundreds of thousands of cold homes in London?

    According to the latest Homelessness statistics from DCLG (April to June 2016), London has experienced a 7% increase in the number of applicant households with children. At least 44,000 families with children in London will spend Christmas homeless. The vast majority of these will be placed in temporary accommodation, the costs of which have risen by 43% for boroughs over the last five years. How can the GLA assist boroughs in exploring alternative models for temporary accommodation in the face of unsustainable cost and growing demand, as the London Borough of Lewisham have at PLACE/Ladywell?
