    At Novembers MQT you said you were lobbying Government for a cap on PHV numbers. Can you explain why this lobbying effort was not mentioned in your Taxi and Private Hire Action Plan 2016?

    According to DfT statistics there were 1,292 accidents involving a Taxi or PHV in London during 2011 and 1,916 accidents in 2015. According to TfL there were 73,221 Taxis & PHVs in London in 2011 and 85,244 in 2015. This means in 2011 there were 57 vehicles for every accident compared to 44 in 2015. Do you agree that Taxis & PHVs are getting into more accidents in 2015 relative to 2011?

    The DfT place taxis and PHV together in terms of their accident statistics. Will you agree to write to the DfT to urge them to count them separately?

    Between 2011 and 2015 the number of taxis dropped by 58 while the number of PHVs went up by 12,061. Do you therefore think that the rise in accidents can be largely attributed to more PHVs on the road?

    In June 2016 Mike Brown said, "We are currently looking at 2015 casualty data to identify what manoeuvres are resulting in collisions, where and when they are happening, what other road users are involved, and the demographics of collision victims. This analysis will ensure that our initiatives, marketing, education and enforcement are targeted where they are most needed". Has the analysis been completed and what changes have been made to TfL's initiatives, marketing, education and enforcement activities?
