    Mr Mayor, whilst having regard to the statistics that Assembly Member Arnold put forward about the unemployment rate amongst the black communities in London, I would urge you to look at the experience of the London Development Agency (LDA) in its unsuccessful attempts to target, specifically, certain ethnic groups at a certain age in their development and I would urge you to concentrate on doing everything that you are able to do to improve the academic success rates of people within that particular group.

    Whilst all other outer London boroughs have a provision of 3 or more taxi ranks, many of which are located at or very close to mainline railway stations, according to the list of TfL Appointed Taxi Ranks updated on 4 September 2013 there is only 1 taxi rank with space for 2 vehicles in the London Borough of Bexley, and that is located on Townley Road, Bexleyheath, some distance from the railway station.     According to the list of TfL Appointed Taxi Ranks updated on 4 September 2013, the boroughs of Bexley and Hillingdon have the lowest provision of taxi ranks, with Bexley having 1 and Hillingdon having 3 (of which 2 serve mainline railway stations). Will the Mayor ask TfL to undertake a feasibility study on the provision of additional taxi ranks in all outer London boroughs to assist suburban taxi drivers ply their trade and members of the public to use their services?
