    • Question by: Onkar Sahota
    • Meeting date: 02 September 2021
Dr Onkar Sahota AM: Good morning, Mr Mayor. Good morning, Commissioner. My question is to you, Commissioner. First of all, I want to congratulate all the stations that have been opened up for Crossrail. They are beautiful and they are improving step-free access, particularly the one in Southall, where we have the Punjabi language signage, which reflects the cultural value of Southall. I want to congratulate TfL for doing that. I also want to ask - this caused a lot of excitement - when we will see Crossrail fully functioning. Can you give us an update on Crossrail, please?

Dr Onkar Sahota AM: Good morning. This question is to Jordan from the CBI. In September, employers will be expected to start topping up their furloughed workers’ wages. What impact do you think this will have on sectors of the economy that have not yet been able to open up and generate income?
