David Kurten AM: Let us come back to the technical aspects. It seems the main problems are getting the three different signalling infrastructures to talk to each other. If you had an extension from Abbey Wood to Ebbsfleet then you would need Crossrail to go onto Southeastern track, which might be a fourth signalling structure. Would it not be? You are shaking your heads.

In your Housing Strategy you outline that you "would like to see new arrangements for prudential borrowing for new housing so that it is not counted as Government debt, which would distinguish it from more mainstream public borrowing, along the lines that apply in much of the rest of Europe". Thinking about evacuation, I am sure you will agree it is important that the extent to which people are educated in advance of the crisis about what is expected of them will help in the management at the time.
