    I would be very interested, Mr Hendy, to see the results of that study. Just anecdotally, tipper-truck drivers do seem to drive incredibly fast and just from my observation, as somebody who did cycle in this morning, and cycles in to City Hall most days, it desperately needs attention, because there is something desperately wrong with the way in which those vehicles are used on the roads of London.

    Boris, there is some work going on on the District line at the moment to improve the service, which we are all very pleased about. This I think is really a question for the Commissioner. The work that is going on at the depot in Upminster is proving to be more disruptive to neighbours than they were told it would be, with noise and working for longer hours than they were told would take place, and I think what can fairly be described as an unhelpful attitude from some of the staff in the depot when the neighbours go around...

    You have just said one significant thing that I have not heard before and that is that the Commissioner himself is supportive of this line of policy. Perhaps we could have it on the record from Peter Hendy just how supportive he has because in our approaches to Government, whether it be the Prime Minister or other Cabinet Ministers, what the Commissioner for TfL might say about it would be rather important, I believe.

    Some police officers within the service are definitely in danger of losing the roles that they do now. They are members of the Metropolitan Police Trafficking Unit whose funding has been stopped by the Home Office; some £2.3 million. We have a motion on the agenda later today asking for support for that unit and I believe it will get cross-party support.     Richard Tracey (AM): Can I say that the indications to me from my constituents is that they are absolutely overjoyed by the Safer Transport Teams and the effectiveness that they are having, and well done to the Metropolitan Police Service for providing them. My question is, to what extent are the Safer Transport Teams able to work very closely with the British Transport Police and also to respond to the live CCTV (closed-circuit television) coverage of some of the buses, particularly?     Whilst there is great rejoicing in my constituency over the TOCU PCSOs, some areas of my constituency, I am thinking for example of the Kentish Town ward, an area of significant crime, there are currently no PCSOs at all, for all sorts of reasons to do with vacancies, sickness and everything else. I suspect this is not the only ward in London in this position. Have we got a problem with PCSO recruitment, or is this a problem reserved for the Camden Town ward of Camden?

Rather than dancing around the issue and trying to muddy water, I would like to ask you a very explicit question, which I think is the question that they were trying to ask. Have you shared any operationally sensitive material that you may have received in your capacity as Chair of the MPA with Damian Green MP?

    This is a question for the Acting Commissioner. Acting Commissioner, various of my constituents have reminded me that one of the platforms on which we were elected to the Assembly in May was common sense policing in London. Can I put it to you, would you consider the definition of 'common sense policing' to include the infringement of deeply entrenched centuries old constitutional privileges of a Member of the House of Commons?
