Caroline Pidgeon MBE AM: My questions are to start off with to John O’Brien. I want to ask about support for businesses in London, with a particular focus on the restaurant industry. According to data from the Office for National Statistics, as of July last year there were nearly 16,000 restaurants in London employing around 325,000 people. Clearly, the sector has been hit very hard by COVID-19. I was reading in the press yesterday the story that more than 100 rapists have been let off with a police caution and that 66 of these cases that were highlighted involved child rape. One of the examples that was given in this article was a woman who had been sexually abused by a 34 year old man between the ages of 13 and 15 years of age and yet he only got a caution.
