Mr Mayor, on 25 July there was an item on Crossrail in the private section of the TfL Board, which you chair, as well as the public section. Were any concerns raised? As Simon has outlined, the programme is building up and you are getting concerned. Were any concerns raised there about the possibility of delay in the opening?

We know that urgent attention is needed to deal even with the current overcrowding, let alone with the overcrowding that will come from the new Crossrail passengers. Has TfL done a Healthy Streets check on Oxford Street in its current condition, and if not, will you?

Many residents in Enfield & Haringey rely on the overground rail network but they cannot yet use their freedom pass 24 hours a day and are at a disadvantage compared to residents living near tube services. Yes, Peter, and that is the sort of response I have been getting for the last couple of years, and luckily I can say to you that the Borough of Lambeth have recently run a most successful campaign using ads; it is the campaign 'Know the Difference'. It is a campaign that Assembly Member Kit Malthouse in his role when he was head of Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) endorsed and commended. The Commissioner has said that he wants a new approach to stop and search. He told the Metropolitan Police Authority last year that he hoped to have a new policy in place for the New Year, and he told us last time he was here that that is still his view, but that there would be some consultation with communities and with ourselves and the stakeholders about that new approach.
