I think that is reassuring and I am sure the IOC and Londoners will be reassured by that. In the event that there is a failure, say, on the Jubilee line during the games and you have people at the Olympic Park wanting to get down to the north Greenwich arena, will you allow spectators to travel for free on the cable car as a quick means to travel?

That was out of LU's control. Have you assured yourself that measures are in place? We have heard about the blue-light team and all the things you told us last week, and Peter and others have told us. How have you assured yourself and the IOC that things are in place and that people will be able to get around?

I think the last thing any of us want is images being beamed around the world of spectators having to be walked down the tracks and tunnels due to a broken-down train or some signalling problem or whatever, and particularly we have now heard that Jacques Rogge, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) President, may even occasionally be travelling by the Tube thanks to the pressures from you and others.

Thanks to the pressure by yourself and others no doubt. Are you concerned that such failures on the Underground at Games time could lead to worldwide embarrassment and what are you personally doing to assure yourself that the system is going to be working as well as it can throughout the Games?

): I am sure Members will have detailed questions on that wider experience and the work you are doing to keep the capital moving and so forth. All that good work though will be lost if the message does not get out that the wider Games experience has been a success. So I just wanted to start by concentrating on the narrow but important point of the non-accredited media and your arrangements around that, and I am sure the Members will widen it from there. I don't know whether this question would be for Neale or Vince. I want to pick up the issue of all these events that are going to be happening across London and I know there is the London Events Coordination Calendar and there is the Culture Diary. I think, in your recent answer to my colleague Dee Doocey, you said there were already over 4,000 events in the Culture Diary. However, you closed those diaries at the end of March, which seems a bit strange to me when clearly people would still be planning their events. I am told, looking...

Sorry, can I stop you there. There are new powers for boroughs to monitor them, but there is no new money for boroughs to do it. Without the funding it is very difficult to see how boroughs can monitor Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs).

No, but the Mayor can make representations to the Government to try and explain that there is no point having a strategy that says, 'Boroughs will look after HMOs and will monitor them' if there is no money in order for them to do it. So, what I am asking is that the Mayor is much more proactive in pushing central government for local government's case, for them to get some more money, and working much more in tandem with boroughs, rather than at the moment there tends to be certainly a perception that the Mayor is one side and...
