On 4 August [2021], Dr Marta Krawiec was killed cycling to work at Holborn Gyratory. A couple of very specific questions here around violent crime in London. Recorded knife crime with injury offences has gone up 51% in the last six months. We have had some terrible recent incidents across London. Given the success of the London-wide firearms amnesty last month, and this current hike in knife offences, would you consider launching a similar amnesty for knives in London?

That is really reassuring, Commissioner, because I think trust is really essential for the public and we have had some really recent high-profile cases where we have seen respected celebrities and other public servants jailed, some of them as paedophiles, and their hideous crimes uncovered, and I think with this sort of thing going on it is really important for the public to have absolute trust in the police and their investigations.
