How are these issues being explored and progressed by TfL?
  • Public Announcement Noise at Tube Stations (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Murad Qureshi
    • Meeting date: 18 November 2006
I do often go through Earl's Court, simply because I can never get a Circle Line Tube, so I have to go there to get onto a District Line to go down in that part of West London. Should the emphasis not actually be on electronic information and the signs there being replaced as quickly as possible with electronic information, rather than putting it out on a tannoy, which I actually have not heard ever whenever I pass right through Earl's Court?

Tim Godwin (Assistant Commissioner, MPS) at the full Authority meeting of the Metropolitan Police Authority held on 28th September 2006, stated that there were implications relating to PCSOs working after 10 p.m. Why then did you advise the Mayor to employ 375 PCSOs to patrol the transport network rather than fully warranted police officers?"
  • Education Reports

    • Reference: 2006/0144-1
    • Question by: Richard Barnes

Why did the LDA publish the report 'Educational Experiences & Achievements of Black Boys in London Schools 2000 - 2003' and the Mayor publish the follow up 'Black Teachers in London'? Is this a recognition of the flaws in the earlier report, or of the overtly political nature of the latter?
