  • Mayor's manifesto commitments (Supplementary) [12]

    • Question by: Florence Eshalomi MP
    • Meeting date: 07 December 2016
Florence Eshalomi AM: Good morning, Deputy Mayor. You may be aware that one of the things the Government was supposed to announce in the Autumn Statement was the whole announcement around the buy-as-you-go thought to help more people get on to the housing ladder. Do you think that would help in addressing the London housing crisis?

    • Question by: Florence Eshalomi MP
    • Meeting date: 06 July 2016
Florence Eshalomi AM: Thank you, Madam Chair. Good morning to you, Commissioner, and Mr Mayor. I just wanted to go back to some of the points raised by Assembly Member Bailey in terms of the night Tube. The first two lines are coming in in less than six weeks from today, and I am very happy that one of them will be going through my constituency, the Victoria line. I just wanted to go back to some of the points that you raised, Commissioner, in terms of the impact of the 24-hour licence, and this is an issue that has...

  • Provisions for continued water supply (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 08 December 2004
I was just looking back at Mr Wechsler's answer to the question on water supplies. He talks about a utilities sub-committee for London that was looking at dealing with this problem. Does that committee include representation from suppliers other than Thames Water, because certainly those of us in outer London often have our supplies from other organisations? I live in Romford. I get my supply from Anglian Water.
  • Provisions for continued water supply (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 08 December 2004
If we were to, for whatever reason, lose a large amount of Thames Water supply, would they be called on to fill that gap, and would they have the capacity to be able to do that?
  • Operational planning with non-London local authorities (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Bob Neill
    • Meeting date: 08 December 2004
I notice that the surrounding county councils, of course, are the responsible authority for civil defence and emergency planning. Do you think perhaps it is an advantage that they are able to plan at a county, as opposed to a borough, level? Is that something you should learn from London's point of view? Secondly, I also note that the very helpful plans, which you have detailed, Mr Wechsler, are made available to the public, both on, for example, Oxfordshire County Council's website and Surrey County Council's website, and that Surrey, indeed, has a dedicated SurreyAlert website. Do we propose to...
  • Operational planning with non-London local authorities (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Bob Neill
    • Meeting date: 08 December 2004
I just wondered if people might more logically think we would go to a London alert website, rather than a Bexley alert or a Hammersmith alert.
