Unmesh Desai AM: Dr Jameel, the criteria for vaccination in the UK has been to protect the NHS. Other countries have prioritised younger people to support the economy. Is that strategy working? Is it the right one? The reason I am asking this question is that it is important that Londoners know and understand the scientific and medical evidence upon which we are working.

How do total hospital admissions now, this January, compare to last January and other winter seasons before this year?

In fact, the figures were very damning and not acceptable in any situation. Do you not find that they are absolutely grotesque to look at? I am a great one for doing what can be done but I also believe that the best way to encourage people to do the right thing is to make it possible for them to do the right thing. Is it not going to be absolutely vital that we get these light bulbs designed in a way that is acceptable to people because the light is appalling and they look absolutely grotesque?
