  • How are you seeking to transform the London Fire Brigade so that it is well equipped to keep Londoners safe in the future? Collaboration with London Ambulance Service (Supplement) [7]

    • Question by: Onkar Sahota
    • Meeting date: 10 February 2022
Commissioner, this question is to you. It is about the collaboration of the LFB with the other blue-light services and I want to congratulate you particularly on how you supported the London Ambulance Service (LAS) in the pandemic. With the LFB stepping up to meet the LAS, responding to the extreme weather events and dealing with the building safety crisis, despite the fact of having lost 1,100 officers since 2010, how has this impacted on the day-to-day operations of the LFB?

    • Question by: Onkar Sahota
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Dr Onkar Sahota AM: My question is to Mr John Barradell, please. Testing is paramount in preventing the spread of the virus and also then tracing. How far advanced are we in London on testing? Will the testing be taking place for everyone in London for antigens and antibodies?
  • Future of the Metropolitan Police Service (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Onkar Sahota
    • Meeting date: 06 July 2016
Dr Onkar Sahota AM: My question is to the Commissioner. This is about the blue light collaboration. The Police and Crime Bill published on 10 February 2016 when enacted will place duty on police, fire and rescue and ambulance services to collaborate. Do you think that the new duty to collaborate, in the words of Dave Brown QFSM, the Chief Operations Officer for the London Fire Brigade, moves there from collaborated through goodwill to collaboration through being embedded in policy and governance? Do you agree this a more formal relationship now? First of all, can you comment on that?
